June 26th, 2011 by Alex LayChina’s public infrastructure is vulnerable to cyber attack because of vulnerabilities in software used to run weapons systems, utilities and chemical plants, according to Reuters.
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a warning about the vulnerabilities in software applications from Beijing-based Sunway ForceControl Technology.
The DHS says hackers could exploit the vulnerabilities to launch attacks on critical infrastructure in China and other countries where the software is used, including the US.
Focusbar 1.0 for Mac alerts users to off-task distractions

The bar then makes reappearances at random intervals, and when a user switches windows. It helps focus the user on a single task, and alerts the user when he or she is about to go off-task.
Studies have shown that although most people think they can “multi-task” well, in fact attempting to do so generally makes people less efficient and more prone to error, along with reducing their ability to learn new information as well as generating more stress.
Can the Chromebook change enterprise desktop IT?

Google claims businesses will buy Chromebooks because they offer significantly lower total cost of ownership figures, even when compared with a managed desktop environment.
