Ada Ada is a structured, compiled, statistically typed programming language, designed by Jean Ichbiah in the 1970s. Ada was originally targeted at embedded and real time system, and is still commonly used for purpose.
   
BASIC BASIC is an acronym for Beginner's All-purpose symbolic Instruction code. Originally devised as a teaching tool, it became widespread on home microcomputers in the 1980s.
   
Pascal Pascal was developed by Niklaus Wirth in order to make structured programming possible in computer science. The advantage of the type of programming is that it is relatively easy for a compiler to process a code.
   
Fortran Fortran stands for Formula Transaction. It was originally developed in the 1950s for scientific computing and numerical analysis. 
   
C C is a programming language designed by  Dennis Ritchie during the early  1970s for writing the UNIX operating system. C is also known a middle-level language because of its closeness to low-level languages. It remains the most widely used languages for writing operating systems software's as well as application software.
   
C++ C++ is an object-oriented programming language developed by Bjarne Stroustrup at Bell Labs in the 1980s. It is based on the C Language. The language is used effectively in developing systems software's as well as application software. 
   
Java The Java language is an object-oriented programming language developed by James Gosling and other engineers at Sun Microsystems. The main characteristic of Java is its platform independency, which means the programs written in Java language run on diverse hardware system.
   
Visual Basic Visual Basic (VB) is a programming language developed by Microsoft Corporation, descendant of the BASIC programming language
   
C# C# pronounced " see sharp" is an object-oriented programming language developed by Microsoft Corporation as part of their  .NET initiative.
